Days of Summer: A Gaggle of Girls

Little girls in the bright attire of summer speak volumes. . . literally. The little neighbor boy, who is not yet two, started saying, with awe and confusion in his voice: "The girls say 'AHH!'" (the ahh part in a high pitch girly squeal!) He would repeat this new found truth often. Girls and boys are different. . . even the babies can see this!

Days of Summer: Schools Out!

Since I have neglected this blog all summer and fall is fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to do a little recap for the next little while to show you where I've been and what I've seen.

It seems like just yesterday that school got out and I was telling the kids, "As soon as it hits 80 degrees you can get wet." There is something about early summer that translates into bright colors for me. Sun, water, giggling girls and early summer flowers. Ahhh, the possibilities. . .

Water Freckles

I can never resist taking pictures as the sun goes down and sheds angular light at the back of my house.  Ask my girls.  They are often my subjects--particularly Sig.  She is very photogenic.  She accidentally sprayed herself with the sprinkler and I loved the watery freckle effect she created.  so I made her stand there while I captured it forever.
