Astoria: Part I

I love going to quaint little towns that have been around long enough to have a cute little Main Street.  Fishing towns hold particularly high appeal.

Whenever I go to Astoria I want to go around taking pictures of all the lovely old architecture. . . which I usually do.  I got more pictures of commercial buildings this time.  I loved the faded blue and white of this one, and the detail in the molding.

Details of Disney

There are a lot of fun little details in Disneyland--in the architecture, and the decor.  I took a few pictures of little things that caught my eye.  I would have taken more, but I was afraid I would run out of space for pictures of my children.

The Big Picture

Though most of you guessed my pictures correctly, here are the answers for the first six days of Christmas:

Day 2: Gift wrap ribbon

Day 3: Santa's beard

Day 4: Christmas Lights

Day 5: Crushed Candy Canes

Day 5: Snowflake Hole Punch

Day 6: Tree Ornament

Thanks for playing.  I may post some more in a few days.

On the Sixth Day of Christmas. . .

Maybe this one will be a little tougher for those of you still playing along.  Can you guess what it is?

I will post the answers and larger pics for the week tomorrow.

On the Fifth Day of Christmas. . .

. . . I searched for something to take a picture of.  It's harder than you think to take a picture of something Christmas related that we did each day and make it difficult, but not impossible to guess what it is.  So here goes my latest attempt.  Can you guess what it is?

And be honest and tell me if you went to my other blogs to see what we did today. . . Not that there's anything wrong with that.  I just wonder if they are really too easy or if you are finding clues.

On the Fourth Day of Christmas. . .

. . . can you guess what we did?  It involved this:

Just try to guess without looking for clues first.

On the Third Day of Christmas. . .

. . .We did something with these. . .

Can you guess what they are?

For those of you playing along, thank you.  I may need to make my pictures harder!   And remember, for clues you can visit my other blogs.

On the Second Day of Christmas. . .

Here is your next snapshot of Christmas.  For clues of what we were doing tonight check out my home and garden blog.  What do you think it is?

On the First Day of Christmas. . .

This one is kind of cheating because it doesn't actually relate to what we did for our first day of Christmas activity.  But I think it's not too hard.  Can you guess what it is?

I am going to wait and reveal the answers at the end of each week.  I know you are looking, so give me a guess!

25 Days of Christmas - Up Close and Personal

I do 25 days of Christmas with my girls in the days leading up to Christmas.  So, I thought it would be fun to take pictures of whatever project we are working on--in up close detail--and post them. Can you guess what they are?  For hints on what we are doing, check out my other blogs.  Technically we haven't done the first day yet, but we did something last night to start the season, so here is a dry run:
